I used my hand-drawn design, in many coat and eye colors, to call attention to a big problem.
Many people choose cats by color, but color is a big genetic influence on personality. Black cats are usually outgoing, very affectionate and laid back. Tortoise-shell cats like Corene are affectionate but usually female, so neutering costs a bit more.
Dark cats go unadopted at shelters most often. People don't realize that a quarter of cats and dogs in shelters are thoroughbreds, though they lack papers. I encourage you to adopt through a shelter or your vet like we did. We love their sweet personalities! Please donate to your local shelter or your vet might have a fund to help pet owners.
